Our Love
Story
We can't really tell our love story without first acknowledging another, because there would be no Heinrich and Jade if there wasn't first a Neil and Ilona. It all went down at the Germishuys wedding in April 2023. We were seated at the same table, but let’s just say our first impression was... not great. Jade completely missed Heinrich trying to introduce himself and actually batted him away – oops! She didn’t even notice him trying to say hi. But, as the night went on, Jade started to realise Heinrich wasn’t so bad after all. In fact, he was a pretty lekker guy. So, she decided to fix that awkward start and made the first official introduction.
From there, we hit it off pretty quickly. We spent the night chatting up a storm and even hit the dancefloor for some epic sokkie moves. Later, we bonded over some rooibos tea, exchanged numbers, and that was that...or so we thought. Heinrich decided to play a little hard-to-get for the next two days and not make any moves. Jade, however, wasn’t about to just sit around and wait. She knew time was ticking, so she took matters into her own hands and showed up at the gym that Tuesday night. After all the chats, she knew Heinrich would be there around 7pm.
Jade knew she was going to need backup, so she called in one of her partners-in-crime, Sheri, and the two of them scheduled their gym trip. They walked in, on a mission, heading straight for the weights section to find Heinrich. They tried to keep it casual and cool, but ended up looking more like two meerkats in a herd of buffalo - awkwardly scanning the gym. Heinrich spotted them right away and made his way over. The tension melted, as he came over to greet, and the rest is history!
We have since been inseparable and have become the best of friends. We spent our first official date at Lupa and have made many more memorable ones along the way. We have embarked on several adventurous trips together, including Mauritius, Kleinbaai, Knysna and McGregor. After 1 year, 2 months and 16 days of dating, Heinrich decided that it was time to pop the big question and of course, Jade said YES!
Together we have grown in so many ways, not only as a couple, but as individuals too.
We cannot wait to embark on this new journey and want to thank each of you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your love and support as we celebrate our next chapter together.

When should I RSVP by?
If you could RSVP as soon as possible that would be amazing, however the latest would be Jan, 24.
Can I bring a date?
Unless your invite stated they’re invited, unfortunately not.
What should I wear?
Semi-formal, outdoor wedding vibes.
Are kids welcome?
As much as we love all the kiddies, unfortunately not for this occasion.
What will the weather be like?
Warm and sunny, although we recommend bringing something warm for the evening as the reception will be outside.
Will there be an open bar?
A cash bar will be available, so bring your best moves and a little cash!
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Everything is outdoors.
Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
You are welcome to, please just make sure your phone is on silent.
